The Pentek SCBC-10 is a replacement activated carbon filter from Pentair that contains a highly effective antimicrobial compound with controlled silver particle release. Provides long-term protection of activated carbon surfaces from biological bacterial contamination.

The filter is particularly effective in reducing unwanted tastes and odors and especially chlorine from drinking water. Effectively removes chlorine, organic compounds, chemicals, pesticides, reduces the concentration of heavy metals, as well as improves the taste and smell of water.

It also removes sediment from water (sand, mud, rust and suspended solids) up to 5μm in diameter. The filter is manufactured using a patented process and is made of activated carbon that is checked for purity and performance before manufacture.
